When We Are Closed

For urgent advice and treatment when our practice is closed, please telephone 111

Northern Doctors Urgent Care have been commissioned by Northumberland Care Trust to provide out-of-hours care – they are accessed via the 111 service. They may advise you to attend a clinic elsewhere to be seen by a nurse practitioner or doctor. (Transport may be provided in certain circumstances.) A doctor will visit if medically appropriate.

The NHS also offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day on 111. If English is not your preferred language you can choose a confidential translation service.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
